Charles River Recognized as One of Montreal's Top Employers

Charles River is proud to be recognized as one of Montreal’s Top Employers for 2018. Now entering its 19th year, the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project is a national competition to determine which employers lead their industries in offering exceptional workplaces for their employees. Employers are evaluated by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers using eight criteria, which have remained consistent since the project’s inception: (1) Physical Workplace; (2) Work Atmosphere & Social; (3) Health, Financial & Family Benefits; (4) Vacation & Time Off; (5) Employee Communications; (6) Performance Management; (7) Training & Skills Development; and (8) Community Involvement. Employers are compared to other organizations in their field to determine which offers the most progressive and forward-thinking programs.

Glenn Washer, Corporate Senior Vice President of North American Safety Assessment, says Charles River’s desire for employee satisfaction plays a key role in the company’s success. "We recognize that well-trained, highly engaged, happy employees are the key to our success as an organization. We can pour money into facilities and equipment, but if we don't focus on the engagement, satisfaction and development of our employees, the rest is wasted time and money."
