Charles River’s surgical services capabilities now give researchers greater flexibility in sourcing study-ready National Cancer Institute (NCI) models.

Researchers requiring surgical modification of their NCI models now have access to a wide array of procedures including:

Models available to NCI grantees include outbred, inbred, and hybrid mice; immunodeficient models; and select Charles River models.

All procedures on NCI models are performed at our AAALAC-accredited surgical suites. These models are produced and surgically modified under the same stringent biosecurity guidelines and humane and ethical treatment principles found at all of our North American production sites.

If NCI models are not available as requested, Charles River may be able to provide equivalent or alternative study-ready animal options.
