Due to an expanding collection of historical control data and wider regulatory acceptance, the minipig continues to build a reputation as a viable alternative large animal model. Charles River has been performing toxicology studies in this species for over 30 years and currently offers minipig toxicology studies at three of our locations in North America and Europe. Our scientists are experienced in performing a wide range of study types in multiple minipig strains (most commonly the Göttingen minipig) as well as full-size domestic swine, and are available to advise on appropriate study design.

We also offer full-service laboratory support to enable each client to have all aspects of a study performed at a single GLP-compliant facility.
