Nuclear imaging provides translational and noninvasive in vivo methodology to reliably quantify pathological changes during disease progression and allows evaluation of therapeutic effects of existing or novel drugs against the disease. This webinar showcases new developments of CNS Discovery Services at Charles River, including new access to a nearby cyclotron particle accelerator that can be used to produce short-lived positron-emitting isotopes suitable for PET imaging. In addition, we will discuss arterial input function (AIF) generation from rodents as a gold standard analysis methodology in PET imaging.
We will highlight how these new capabilities, combined with our expertise with PET and SPECT imaging and associated ex vivo techniques, provide a comprehensive state-of-the-art toolkit for evaluating pathophysiology and drug effects in animal models of CNS disorders.
