Principal Research Scientist

Joanne holds a PhD in cancer biology from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh. She has worked at Charles River's Edinburgh site for over 12 years in various in vitro safety assessment roles related to both regulatory and development/discovery processes. Currently, Joanne serves as the group leader for in vitro respiratory toxicology within the Discovery Pharmacology and Toxicology team at Charles River. In this role, she focuses on developing protocols and validation data to support the regulatory acceptance of complex in vitro lung models for safety assessment.
