Michael Staup, PhD, joined the Charles River family in April 2017 as an associate research scientist in morphometry and stereology. Since then, he has become the manager of the digital image analysis and IHC lab in Durham, NC.
Michael earned a PhD in behavioral neuroscience from the University of Florida before completing a postdoctoral fellowship in the department of neurosciences at UC San Diego. During his doctoral and postdoctoral careers, he participated in several projects utilizing image analysis and stereology. Prior to joining Charles River, Michael was a scientist and interim site head for Crown Bioscience.
