Mira Wenker, PhD

Section Head, Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics

Mira Wenker began working at Charles River 25 years ago as a Study Director in the field of ADME and pharmacokinetics. Currently, she is Head of the Discovery and Environmental Sciences group, where she leads a team of Study Directors and analysts focused on invertebrate and in vitro assays. This group is involved with designing, performing, and reporting in vitro ADME assays, in vitro Dermal Absorption assays, in vivo ADME & PK studies and TK evaluations, and in vitro Endocrine Disruption assays. She heads the Charles River Endocrine Expert team and works closely with our regulatory affairs group to provided consultation and advice for both internal and external scientists. 

Dr. Wenker obtained a PhD in the field of Biomedical Research from the University of Amsterdam. She has published and presented over the years in the fields of metabolism, (skin) absorption, microsampling, kinetics, and endocrine disruption.
