Pragati S. Coder, PhD, DABT

Global Lead, Developmental and Reproductive Toxicology (C&C)

Pragati Coder is a Global Scientific Lead for Developmental and Reproductive Toxicology (DART; Crops and Chemicals) and also serves as Senior Director, DART at Charles River’s Ashland, OH site. Dr. Coder is a subject matter expert for developmental, reproductive, endocrine, neurotoxicity, and juvenile toxicity studies that support product development programs for pharmaceutical, (agro)chemical, and veterinary medical products.

She received her doctorate in molecular biology from Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay, India and was a postdoctoral fellow in reproductive toxicology at the College of Pharmacy, The University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Coder is board-certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology. She is an active member of the international DART scientific community and several professional organizations, including the Society of Toxicology, Society for Birth Defects Research and Prevention (BDRP, formerly Teratology Society), Health and Environmental Science Institute (HESI-DART), European Teratology Society and the Middle Atlantic Reproduction and Teratology Association (MARTA). She has served in various official capacities in these organizations and is currently serving as President for the Society for Birth Defects Research and Prevention.
