The Quality of GEP Efficacy Testing

An agrochemical efficacy study from Charles River conforms to good experimental practice (GEP). GEP compliance demonstrates that the efficacy testing/trials comply with Regulation (EC) 1107/2009, EPPO guidelines, and that results can be used to support registration by different authorities, regardless of where you plan to register your agrochemical product. The criteria, modes of operation, and procedures all meet GEP efficacy testing standards, giving you confidence in our work.

Pesticide and Biocide Efficacy Testing Design

GEP efficacy testing involves trials of agrochemical products, such as pesticides and biocides, on a series of plots. Each plot is treated at a specific level, in parallel with untreated plots for comparison. The plots are then assessed visually at set intervals and results are recorded to measure how the product is performing at set treatment levels. The number of treatment levels can vary going up into low teens, with around four replicates for statistical robustness.

Flexible, Multi Site GEP Efficacy Testing

We know that you need a pesticide and biocide efficacy testing partner who can cater to your individual needs and we can support efficacy testing with agricultural or horticultural applications. This means we can accommodate trials for commercial crops and also for plants and flowers. We can conduct GEP efficacy testing for amenities like driveways or home and garden applications too. In addition, we have capabilities for outdoor trials or indoor trials in glasshouses, in a variety of climates, and across multiple sites.

All study data is reported in industry standard systems including Agriculture Research Manager (ARM), so you have your electronic data, securely, in the format you need.
