ApoE Knockout Mouse (JAX™ Mice Strain) Details
The Apoetm1Unc mutant strain was developed in the laboratory of Dr. Nobuyo Maeda at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The 129-derived E14Tg2a ES cell line was used. The plasmid used is designated as pNMC109 and the founder line is T-89 in the primary reference. The strain was produced by backcrossing the Apoetm1Unc mutation 10 times to C57BL/6J mice. Pedigree mice from The Jackson Laboratory were transferred to Charles River Laboratories UK in October 2004.
Growth chart data should be used as a guideline only.
The shaded areas on each chart are the mean weight plus or minus one standard deviation at a given age averaged across all production facilities. This represents approximately 67% of the population, with the remaining 33% falling outside of this weight range.
