Dan Rocca, PhD

Dan Rocca received his PhD in molecular neuroscience from the MRC Centre for Synaptic Plasticity at the University of Bristol. Following 15 years in academia where he explored numerous research topics including synaptic plasticity, neurodegeneration, rare disease, synthetic biology, and building complex microphysiological organ-on-chip models, he joined Charles River Labs in 2019. In 2024 he became a senior research leader providing expert guidance on drug discovery programs spanning areas including immunotherapy, vaccines, mRNA medicine, gene therapy, and autoimmunity.
