Biology Program Director, Fisher College
Danna joined the Fisher College School of Liberal Arts and Sciences biology faculty in 2014. She has an MS and PhD in molecular and cell biology from Brandeis University, where she was awarded a National Pre-doctoral Fellowship from the US National Institutes of Health (the Ruth L. Kirschstein NRSA). She completed her BA in neuroscience and behavior at Columbia University (distinguished senior thesis), cum laude, with a minor in mathematics. She has worked in numerous research labs across many fields of biology, co-authored several peer-reviewed articles in top tier journals such as Science, Neuron, and PNAS, and written numerous health- and science-related articles for a variety of outlets.
