Providing More Models for Your In Vivo Preclinical Research
We continue to add models to our immunodeficient mouse portfolio including the NCG Portfolio, a set of NCG mice that are highly immunodeficient. Each new model will provide specific benefits allowing for additional flexibility including altering human blood cell populations and making humanizing mice yourself easier than ever.
Immunodeficient Models Poster
This poster lists the major phenotypes of Charles River's immunodeficient mice and rats. It includes information on model features, degree of immunodeficiency, and gene functions.
The NCG mouse is the basis of our NCG Portfolio. It is the most immunodeficient mouse model that Charles River offers and can host a wide range of human tissues including tumors and immune cells. This model allows for research with multiple human components leading to more translatable results transforming how you study human disease and develop lifesaving treatments.
Pre-Humanized CD34+ and PBMC Mice
Charles River currently offers the NCG mouse as part of our immune humanized mouse portfolio. We offer two varieties of humanized mice:
HuCD34 NCG Mice – These NCG mice are engrafted with CD34+ hematopoietic stem cells and are in stock and available for your study. Humanization levels are validated by flow cytometry and the mice are housed in our isolators.
HuPBMC NCG Mice – Charles River offers peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) humanized NCG. Donor variability is an important consideration when designing a PBMC humanized mouse study. We have you covered with recallable donors that you can use in multiple studies. The donors have been characterized in the NCG to look at engraftment rates and onset of GvHD for more predictable results. Cells and animals are sent separately offering flexibility when planning your study. We also offer pre-injected PBMC mice.
